A more experienced Frolic Mills promises to raise the bar for this
type of events as he envisions a 4 sim theatre with real life-like
stages, state of the art light effects and amazingly choreographed
live performances.

Also, expect over 40 never-seen-before couture gowns as the ladies
compete for the crown of all crowns!

AVENUE Models Academy Graduation Show

Come out to show your support of the next graduating class of models from AVENUE Models Academy September 14, 2008 at 12 noon slt.
AVENUE Models Academy is proud to announce the second graduating class of its prestigious academy. The class consists of five graduates: Livia Mastroianni, Vera Canning, Maxmillion Carling, Kora Ling, and Sevenstar Amat. The fabulous five will sashay down the catwalk wearing clothing by the one and only Bare Rose. Bare Rose is known for its awesome clothing line with very affordable prices. They carry an assortment of clothing from casual to formal, punk to goth, and even fantasy outfits. The model trainees of AVENUE are excited to be able to have their names associated with a line such as Bare Rose.

The modeling classes are taught by models and fashion professionals who teach the model trainees what it takes to make it on the runways of SL. The fashion professors consist of Summer Deadlight (founder of Runway Kidz), Emmz Tzara (Fashion Stylist of Runway Magazine), Kryptonia Paperdoll (Head Instructor and VP of AVENUE Models), Tillie Ariantho (AVENUE Model & Photographer) and Rusch Raymaker (CEO of AVENUE Models). With such proficient teachers as these the model trainees from AVENUE definitely get a step ahead in the world of modeling.

AVENUE Models is known for always delivering very entertaining fashion shows with professional models who grace the catwalk and wow the audience. The opportunity to possibly be ranked in the category of models with such a reputation is huge for the model trainees. They will be sure to step out on the runway and show off all they have learned to impress both the audience and their teachers in order to try to secure a spot within the prominent agency.

Modavia Prepares Huge Fashion Giveaway & Gala
October 4, 2008

Modavia, publishers of the Modavia Fashion Directory (MFD), is preparing a celebration for the MODAVIA DESIGNER WARDROBE CONTEST on OCTOBER 4, 2008 to award two lucky ladies the clothing modeled by The Modavia Supermodels in recent editions of the Directory.

In the coming weeks, Modavia will pick 10 random Modavia Fashion Directory subscribers. The 10 will be limo'd to the summer retreat of Ms. Dea Mills, Modavia CEO, on October 4 where top fashion designers, models, media, and Modavia staff will be waiting. A random number generator will select two winners from the 10, and one winner will receive the clothing displayed in the second MFD, while the second will receive the clothing from MFD 3 - this amounts to over 30 recently released couture outfits for each winner. The evening will continue with hot 80's music, dancing, and plenty of photo ops. Come and meet The Modavia Supermodels who will be wearing a selection of the hot couture clothing from each Directory.

If anyone wants to enter the MODAVIA DESIGNER WARDROBE CONTEST there is still time - simply rez the vendor enclosed in your gift box and subscribe to the Modavia Fashion Directory before September 25th 2008. We will announce the ten names on the shortlist in our Vice President of Fashion, Poptart Lilliehook's column in the third edition of the Directory - due to hit the streets by midnight on the 27th September 2008.

 

Second Life City of the Arts fashion parade

We try and use as little photoshop as possible although we are experimenting changing the lighting in the faces of these animations ~ the three suns Second Life gives us are good but need tweaking to give us more light and natural skin tones.. It takes away some of the art of making pictures inworld by using photoshop

As my Second Life friends know, I work as a photographer / journalist in RL & 2L and am happy to do a new profile portrait for you, photograph your event, party or fantasy situation, or work with a stylist to do a fashion shoot for that magazine feature or prepare your photos for a model competition ~ this is the website to collect photographs or order your photo session.

My photographic studio in SL is well equipped, with hundreds of pose balls, animations, backdrops, lighting and three stages: a portrait stage with multiple backdrops, a model stage for large dynamic pictures and a white cyclorama for easy photoshop pics (if you want me to put your portrait onto any background image) – in other words its well equipped to handle almost any assignment from product photos to fashion shoots.
I am also available to do photos on your location.

I am happy to work for Lindens, although please be aware that an hourly rate starts at L7000 (about $20 dollars per hour) and photo sessions are minimum L500 ~ only occasionally I will reduce my fee if the assignment & you are worthy. IM for details! I do not pay for uploading to you, but am happy to send the photos as we make them to your email, or I prefer to save them to my disk, work them in Photoshop to make sure they are OK, and then make them available for you to pick up anonymously at a secure place on this website soon after the photo session. Please IM me!

The 1EarthMedia team is also available to build any item for your Second Life - from castles & palaces to telescopes & clothing.

Our full time Second Life staff can also organise and promote your event or sim location - combining photography, machinima (inworld video & movie making), journalism and website design.

Also, if you require a special build, we can go into the RL to make custom photos of buildings, vehicles and textiles to bring individuality to your Second Life item.
